Underwater acoustic transponder is an essential device in the underwater experiment andmeasure. The underwater transponder which supplied by the battery long time worked can doa big favor to the experiment. As limited by the life of the battery, research on the area thatcan make the transponder worked in a low power consumed means a lot in the underwaterarea.Depending on the character of the transponder, a low power consumed transponder wasdesigned, it achieved a long work time goal. The part that can realize the low power consumedis the standby circuit, it can wake up the main digital process circuit when we need. Theproject mainly accomplished the hardware design and the software testing, the hardware ofthe system include the receive machine、digital signal process platform、the standby circuit、transmit circuit and the power supply part. The system uses lithium battery, chose low powerconsumed and low noise chip, use MSP430to buidup standby circuit, use OMAP-L138as thecore of the digital signal processor. The software achieved the configure of the digital part、thedetection of the signal、the transmit of the signal. For the hardware part the system useOPA2376as the amplifier、include band-pass filter、optical couple circut. The digital circut usethe OMAP-L138develop board as the core,TLV320AIC3254used as adc/dac.The transmitpart use D model amplifier. The standby circuit can wakeup the digital process circuit.Eachpart has a power supply. The hardware design include chip chosen、circuit principum design、circuit tested, thehardware mainly accomplished the signal received、detected and transmitted. The softwareinclude the configuration and algorithm、the interface configuration and test、the DSP’sconfiguration and digital algorithm.
