The main reason of power cut or even catastrophic accidents is high Voltage Switchgearovervoltage, overcurrent and heating of contact.Therefore,detecting the status of High VoltageSwitchgear voltage, current, and contact temperature is always one of the frontal topics forpower systems and electrical equipment security running.On account of the current limitations of the High Voltage Switchgear state detection,thispaper puts forward the design method of High Voltage Switchgear detector based on ARM9.This paper introduces the basic principles of ARM9microprocessor as well as thestructure and design method of EM9161. On this basis, High Voltage Switchgear detector isdesigned based on ARM9. The composition of this detection system include voltage andcurrent sensors,infrared temperature sensor, signal conditioning circuit,EM9161,alarm circuits,Ethernet and RS485communication interface, and system software.The part of hardwaredesign introduces the composition of several major modules and EMC measures; softwaredesign section describes the design of the main software modules as well as measures toimprove the measurement accuracy.This design introduces the precision full-wave linear rectifier circuit in the signalconditioning circuit in order to reduce the influence of the sensor detection range. On thisbasis, moving average filter method in the digital filtering method is used to improve signal tonoise ratio.The system has good maneuverability and intuitive by designing the man-machineinterface. Using multi-threaded will improve the overall system operating efficiency in themonitoring system.Besides,this paper proposes a number of hardware, software, anti-jammingmeasures in order to improve the reliability and robustness when the equipments areoperationing.Finally, the paper introduces the High Voltage Switchgear detector debugging, testingexperimental conditions and experimental methods, and analyzes the experimental data. Theexperimental results demonstrate the stability and reliability of the system.The developedHigh Voltage Switchgear detector ARM9-based achieves high voltage switchboard reliabledetection of voltage, current, as well as contract temperature state.
