Online detection, diagnosis technology is an important basis for condition-based maintenance work. This paper systematically describes the current feasible switchgear partial discharge detection, such as the transient earth wave detection, ultrasonic detection of partial discharge technology, ultra high frequency partial discharge detection, etc. For detection and localization the risk of switchgear partial discharge fast, effectively and accurately, this paper gives the innovation method that is combined with transient earth wave and harmonic electro partial discharge technology, on the basis of the practical experience from a lot of low-voltage switchgear state detection practice. Meanwhile, the switchgear test practices (such as: exclusion of typical sources of interference, etc.) in Shanghai World Expo Park introduced the case of defects found, which is confirmed that this is an efficient and accurate method used in low-voltage(35KV and below)switchgear state detection.
