| Urban waterfront is the liveliest and characterfulst region in the city. A good urban waterside landscape not only can beautify the environment of city, but also satisfy the people’s needs of livelihood, entertainments and enjoying leisure time. It also can bring business opportunity. Plant is an indispensable landscape element in urban waterfront. The growth status, species composition, structures and plant’s aesthetic characteristic and so on, what can determine its landscape quality and many functions to a great extent influence the quality and level of urban waterside landscape. Building scientific and reasonable landscape is important to protect biological diversity and create good environment of city.Based on some principles and methods of relevant disciplines, such as Botany, Gynecology, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Aesthetics, etc., this paper researched and investigated plant communities, and applied SBE to evaluate the plant landscape in Yangzhou waterfront.56graceful plant landscape in the lakeside, riverside, poolside and brookside, were researched. The results demonstrate:(1) The plant’s species and aesthetic characteristic are infinite varieties. This survey of all community is a total of165plant species, which belongs to62families and120genuses. A ratio of arbors, shrubs, vines, bamboo is10:6:0.7:1. Belong to Yangzhou region of zonal native plants, it represents56species, and it is33.9percent of total. The plant’s aesthetic characteristic is variety, but the species that were applied frequently is only30varieties. The health of the waterside plants is good in total, good plants accounted for39%, accounting for18%in general, bad1.5%, and very bad0.5%.(2) The results of investigation and evaluation demonstrate the characteristics of equipment to the plant in Yangzhou waterside. The plants adapt the place, and meet the functional requirements; the point is sticked out, and it also focuses on local history and combined; plants distribution forms, it also pay attention to the art of composition and focus on biodiversity. The evaluation findings indicate that the beach pool landscape evaluation score highest, followed by the lakeside landscape, Riverside landscape, the worst is the stream plant landscape. Landscape assessment value respectively1.24,0.99,0.75,0.71. The better plant’s configuration modes of landscape are arbor+shrub+vine, arbor+shrub+grass and ground cover, arbor+grass+aquatic plant, arbor+shrub+grass and ground cover+aquatic plant, arbor+bamboo+shrub+ground cover+aquatic plant, etc. (3)Last aimed on the plant landscape in Yangzhou waterfront, in the current situation presented related views:rich in plant species diversity, increase the heterogeneity of the landscape and ecology; strengthening plant landscape’s natural design; to improve the ecological quality of water, across the landscape of ornamental; strengthen later maintenance management, pay attention to the principles of economy; strengthening public participation and education combined. |
