With the development of pavement structure types and construciion technology, semi-rigid base popular used in highway construction exposes some defects can’t be ignored. It will cause the reflective cracking of the surface course, because of semi-rigid materials drying shrinkage and temperature shrinkage. Besides,drainage performance and anti-fatigue performance of semi-rigid base are poor. So, people begin to pay more attention to study flexible base to rich the structure of the pavement.SOILFIX high molecular polymer,different from asphalt, is an additive mixture of copolymer solution, using a variety of special resin and various organic. It refers water for dispersing medium equably to disperse to stabilize material surface. After the effective compaction and moisture volatilizes process, organic mucosa existed in the solid particle surface of road layer, firmly bonds materials into whole, to form strong and flexible structure layer.The study is to discover applicable conditions and technical features of the SOILFIX stabilized bases. It includes design of material mixtures and technical performance experiments of sand-gravel, graded gravel and gravel soil. Besides, compared with the performance of the traditional semi-rigid base, it tests the feasibility and technical characteristics of materials stabilized by SOILFIX polymer in highway asphalt pavement construction.
