With the world economy globalization, the landscape design development speed dramatically accelerated,, Majiagou is the major city of Harbin, a river, has a long history and is closely related with the development of the city.Majiagou both sides of the green corridor is to provide nutrition for the city’s "green artery" as a continuation of the Songhua River scenic corridor and supplements, is one of urban development axis. Based on summarizing the theory of waterfront environment planning and designed, through the literature investigation, on-the-spot investigation method, summarization method, comprehensive analysis and other methods,combined with Harbin local regional factors, practical considering majiagou now of problems, and puts forward the corresponding solutions.In virtue of Harbin city development strategy of macroscopic background, choosing majiagou as the research object, first the overseas water-front theory and outstanding examples are summarized, and the urban waterfront environment related concepts and theories were introduced, and introduce the basic feature of the waterfront landscape environmentand the waterfront environment for the development of city construction significance.For this paper Harbin majiagou waterfront environment of issues lays the theoretical foundation.Secondly, to the construction of the general project of Majiagou River summarized, natural features and social economy were analyzed.
