The Study On Urban Waterfront Environment Planning Of Ningbo

With the economic and cultural development, the waterfront space environment, human being densely inhitited area, is catching more and more attentions, because being planning reasonably, it can promote city competitiveness, improve human settlement environment and lead to city's sustainable development.Starting from the fundamental research, this paper gives system explainations on concepts and connotations of thr waterfront. Tracing back on the historical evolution processing of the waterfront, and following the research and reference to the redevelopment experiences from western developed countries, this paper tries to probe the redevelopment of the Ningbo waterfront, and lays a good foundation for building the research system for Ningbo waterfront environment.This paper analyses the charateristics of Ningbo waterfront open space environment, sums up the two kinds models of waterfront development, and emphasizes that urban design is supposed to go through the whole process of redevelopment, then makes an overall elaboration on the specific methods of urban waterfront physical environment form modeling from macro-level, mid-level and micro-level with examples.In the end, this paper, from the aspect of management strategies in planning period and construction period and the function of principal part of construction, analyses the planning and management strategies in the process of urban waterfront redevelopment, and makes every effort to open up a path for the development of Chinese urban waterfront by the way of the probes and analysis into the problems.
