Study On The Coordination Between Conventional Public Transit And Urban Rail Transit In The Process Of The Rail Transit Evolvement

With the development of the social and economy, the congestion of urban traffic is becoming more and more worsing. Using the mass transportation has become the most important measures of alleviating congestion. Many internal major cities have carried out large-scale urban rail transit construction for using a variety of public transport to build an integrated public transport system, the coordinate between conventional public transit and urban rail transit has become a hotspot issue to promote the continuable development of an integrated public transport system. The study of the coordination between conventional public transit and urban rail transit in the process of the rail transit evolvement is significative for promoting the continuable development of urban transport and the construction of the a reasonable public transport system.Based on the background, the paper has built the coordination system between the conventional public transit and urban rail transit which based on the evolution of the urban rail transit (time axis) and the key technology of those two transport methods (countermeasure axis) for solving the key issue of coordination in the process of the evolvement of the urban rail transit. The research process and content are as follows:First, put the study on the evolvement regularity of the urban rail transit. In the positon of morphology evolvement in the urban transit route system, to divide the evolvement process of urban rail transit into four periods:the gestation period, the freshmen period, the development period and the maturity period.Second, put the study on the key technology of the coordination between the conventional public transit and urban rail transit:the coordination of the route, the coordination of the site and the coordination of the management.Third, studied the key issues in the four periods which aboved, therein, built the model of’"residents travel choice" to analysis the competition between the conventional public transit and urban rail transit in the freshmen period, used the model of "route system total coordination’" to access the coordination of the integrated public transport system.Fourth, based on the those studies, built the coordinate system between the conventional public transit and urban rail transit in the process of urban rail transit evolvement.Last, taken Chengdu for example, analysed the coordinate between Chengdu metro line1and urban conventional public transit in the freshman period, and based on the urban rail transit planning of Chengdu to expatiate the "function development mode" of conventional public transit.
