Study On The Compound-interface In The Renovation And Extension Of Buildings

With the development of the economy, advances in technology, and the continuous improvement of people’s material and spiritual needs,"people-oriented" and eco-energy saving has become the theme of today’s architectural design community. Therefore, the discussion, on whether or not and how to preserve the city’s image and historical sites, is no longer the entire contents on today’s work done by the existing building. In addition to the relationship between old and new that renovation and extension of buildings always respected, the internal and external relations of buildings which reflect people-oriented, and the concept of ecological energy saving already gradually walked into people’s field of vision. In the renovation and extension of buildings, the paper introduces the compound-interface with dual features of interface and space, and the author hopes that can help existing buildings, new buildings, and the building’s environment for dialogue, at the same time providing the help to complete the ecological transformation of existing buildings.In the first chapter, the paper focuses on the analysis of study of present situation, which for renovation and extension of buildings and compound-interface both at home and abroad. Paper sums up the development of different stages of domestic building’s renovation and expansion through diachronic research, and proposes that at present, our country is in a stage of comprehensive development about renovation and expansion of buildings, energy-saving and eco are the subject of this stage. Addition, the paper also discusses significance and technique of research, and defined relevant concepts and scope of research.The second chapter discusses the design ideas. First, through the depth of excavation of relevant theory and practice between nature, traditional architecture and modern architecture in china, the author proposes that the design ideas of compound-interface are widely existed in modern architectural design and renovation-extension creation. Second, the author elaborates the specific function about compound-interface in the project of renovation-extension, and points out the direction of follow-up study. In chapter3. first of all. paper starts from the amendment of only rational thinking, proposes the patterns and principles are under the premise ot combining rational thinking and di\ersity awareness. Next, in order to guide by clear objectives in the work of renovation-extension design. the author makes conclusion and summary of extensive practice, and proposes simple side-by-side pattern, compound side-by-side pattern, extroverted surrounding pattern, inward embedded pattern and a special connection mode. Finally, faced with the important and difficult problem about renovation-extension work, a design principles of renovation-extension based on compound-interface is provided, which is expected to have implications for follow-up design work from aspects of space, composition, context and economy.The fourth chapter is a continuation of chapter Ⅲ, paper analyzes the way that compound-interface how to affect the expression of renovation-extension work, and provides a practical and feasible expression way for spatial relationships, composition relations, contextual relationships, and eco-technology, at the same time, for the way mentioned above, paper uses case study method to explain.In chapter5, practice is guided by theory. Under the premise of the conclusion formed in previous chapters, the paper investigates BoXing student restaurant renovation-extension and "Combination of time and space" in2011Revit Cup Design Competition which both are completed by author, and compound-interface theory is proved to be feasible. And under this premise, the author provides an effective design method about compound-interface.
