| Zhengzhou is an important central city that locates at inland China. Since the adoption of reform and opening-up policy, Zhengzhou has made remarkable achievements in all aspects, which had been witnessed by everyone. Nowadays, Central Economics Zone has been promoted to the status of National Strategy, which brings both opportunities and challenges to Zhengzhou. With the industrial restructuring tendency of ’back two forward three’, many factories relocated at the periphery of Zhengzhou. However, the problems of abandoned factories and old buildings become increasingly prominent, which should be solved promptly and properlyBy analyzing the old industrial buildings in Zhengzhou, this study demonstrates the way of innovation and reconstruction, and has improved the theoretical system on the basis of practical study to Zhengzhou No.3Textile Mill. Moreover, with the exploration to the political value, human value, economic value and historical value hided behind the old industrial building, this study comes up with the new horizon and new thought with the aim of provoking people’s thinking to old industrial building in Zhengzhou.This study adopts multiple methods to demonstrate the renovation and reconstruction of old industrial buildings in Zhengzhou. Firstly, the study extracted the proper strategies from the classic cases that are both domestic and overseas. Secondly, field research to the old industrial buildings was administrated and the feature and value were concluded. Thirdly, on the basis of regional characteristics of Zhengzhou, three principles and three models were demonstrated systematically. This study did the exploratory research to the renovation and reconstruction of Zhengzhou No.3Textile Mill by analyzing the practical cases, and improved theoretical system by continuous tests. In the end, suggestions and prospects were put forward with the aim of enhancing urban quality, improving citizen’ life, protecting regional environment and promoting economic development. |
