Study On The Regional Characteristic During The Village Reconstruction In The Southest Of Shanxi Province

As the state of the village reconstruction investment is increased ceaselessly, new village construction has made great progress in some areas, village appearance produced marked change. But because population cardinal number are large in our country, the village settlements are many areas, village reconstruction process is still facing a big problem. Villagers often throw the old house after built a new ones, and the government are also not updated or removed them, resulting in "the empty house" rate in villages and towns is higher, land utilization rate is low, some villages and towns even into "the empty village". The blindly copying the city architectural phenomenon, give a example to build the wall, to build a square and green lawns, etc. Many local characteristics of traditional streets and historical buildings were removed, then new modern villages are builted, which causing destruction of traditional village spatial pattern and regional characteristics are losing. Lots of construction styles of villages are similar, there are no difference between the layout of towns in mountain and hilly region with the plain areas. However Shanxi terrain, mountains, hills, the proportion is much larger than the plain areas. It will lead to loss the feature of mountain, hilly areas of the towns and villages in the region characteristic.The towns and villages in southeast of Shanxi are the research objects of the paper. To protect and continue their regional characteristics are the content of the study. Three methods which are literature search, field research and combination of theory and practice are taken to carry on the research. In the guidance of regional features, this paper designs the ideation and content system which are "theory review-theoretical construct-test of practice-conclusion". Through considered the expression form and the inherent characteristics of these regional features in the villages, the regional features’performance of the villages in southeast of Shanxi are summarized, namely they are regional overviews, climate, topography, hydrology, economy, resource, human environment, gathering way, village layout and the performance of residential buildings in villages of southeast of Shanxi.According to the different topography in southeast of Shanxi, towns and villages are classified as different types:mountain town, hilly town, plain town. Through the analysis of towns’gathering way, the villages layout and the different performance of residential buildings in the mountain towns, hilly towns and plain towns, the different transformational modes in the towns’renovation are summed up.And by the analysis of the status in different types towns and the problems in transformation, the protecting methods of regional characteristic are summed up, namely:reference, retention, inclusion, development and innovation. Also the regional protecting methods about the towns’layout, residential buildings and the rural landscape in mountain towns, hilly towns and plain towns are raised. Then, the methods are taken to practice in the new rural planning of mountain village-Dongshan(At the foot of Hanwang mountain four kilometers away from Gaoping), hilly village-Yanggaoquan (Fengcheng,Yangcheng,Shanxi province), plain village-Nangou (Gulong, Yangcheng county).
