Based on the modern scientific methods, schedule management determines the progress of the goals by diversing the goals and tasks into some levels, and then prepares a reasonable schedule and resource supply plan for schedule control and incoordination with the other goals. The progress of the project management is a complex systematic project. We only use scientific methods and theories to make the schedule more reasonable and guidant for implementation.This paper views the construction of Xijiang shield project management as the research objective by using the schedule project management as the theoretical guidance, and illustrates the shield construction characteristics and progress of the management status according to the order of the on-site construction. On the basis of a comprehensive survey records, the research includes the Shield construction schedule management and managers themselves, the degree of cooperation of the members, a variety of external and internal conditions by using the theory of deduction analysis and statistical analysis, and so on, in oder to identify problems in the progress of the Xijiang Shield Project. Assurance measures were formulated for the Xijiang shield the problems in terms of organization, technology, quality, safety, construction resources and so on. We refined and decomposed the project by using WBS to develop a schedule and determine the critical path of the progress of the project and Critical Control Point. A comprehensive system of this article described the progress of Xijiang shield project management, and it may promote the company’s management level and provide a strong basis for the shield construction schedule management.
