Design expresses the wishes and programs of people to change the worldin the visual forms, at the same time people get a number of ways andguidelines by their constantly creating material and improving the life. Today, the production and research-development of products have already put designconcept in the vital position, which makes it can ’t satisfy people ’s growingmaterial and cultural needs only by high quality and reputation. Some designconcepts such as universal design, usability design, green design and so onbegin to come into being under this historical background. In the field ofproduction and consumption which places great emphasis on “customersupreme” and “customer first”, in order to occupy a tiny space in the fiercemarket competition, we must put the design standpoint above thehuman-centered design. In the whole process of design concept, verdict andmanufacturing activity, emphasizing the import and application of humanfactors, and effective combination of physiological features and structure of thehuman being, psychological activities, ways of thinking and emotional appeals, let products not only meet their basic use value and functional requirement, butalso to achieve the maximum degree of simple and general operation, variedand lively appearance, and complete function, filling every detail of the processwith humanistic care. The design and application of medical devices has a great relationshipwith the national economy and people’s livelihood, so received much concernof people in the industry and broad masses. Its research and development, improvement and innovation not only marks the development of art design, butalso signifies the tremendous progress of health care industry. In recent years, the state takes more and more attention to the popularization and developmentof medical aid business, and brings processing and manufacturing of medicaldevices into national support projects, spares no effort to consolidate and build the key project. Applying the concept of humanity to the design anddevelopment of medical products not only marks the design development to acertain stage and government’s emphasis on material civilization and spiritualcivilization, but also makes the designer frankly stand in the position ofconsumers and think problems from the perspective of users. The thesis discourses the human-centered design of medical devices, bysorting through the relevant theories and information, analyzes of the designfeatures, basic principles, advantages and disadvantages of existing domesticand foreign medical devices, discusses how to ensure medical personnel thefast and correct instrument operation, interface identification and informationmanagement during the process of specific relief implementation, how toreduce sick persons the fear of treatment and strengthen the trust of healthcare system, and how to create comfort and safe medical environment forspecially appointed crowd. This thesis presents that on the basis of medicalproducts’ security, special-purpose, manufacturability and emotional principles,we should combine the psychological characteristics of users with infiltrationand treatment of emotional art from the shape, color, texture and other aspectsof the product, which makes users feel cordial and pleasant on the sensoryexperience. In addition, this paper analyzes how to make the productscomfortable to meet people’s aesthetic trend from the aesthetic point of view, and proposes to increase product’s functionality from the audiovisual andenvironmental point of view to achieve convenience and harmoniouscoexistence between human and environment. Finally, the paper discusseshow to apply the UCD method which focuses on users to all aspects of medicaldevice design and let users’ feedback and comments act on the productdevelopment process, by doing what to realize the aim of “people-oriented”and provide users with relieved, peaceful and comfortable product design.
