The Landscape Construction Of City’s Square

The city’s square landscape designing is an important part of the city’s designing. Ithas been improved with the development of space theory. As a carrier of "city’sliving room"," cultural exhibition hall"and" spiritual gathering place ", people gettingcity’s image is often from city’s square. So the research on city’s square designing is ofgreat significance.This paper first briefly reviews the history of city’s square developing process, andanalyzes the culture and space docking blank of our country in city’s development,basedon the theory of city’s image and the spirit of the whole system.Then analyzes the imageperception and evaluation with a variety of research methods and explain the theorycombined with practical cases.The innovation of this paper lies in bringing the conception of" landscape image"into the design of city’s square, in fact which is a design method by using reversethinking in order to create an image in experience to the landscape square in the future.This is a process of construction."Construction" means building up a system ofexpression, which makes people parse and percept the objects’ ideology along thecontext.. As for the system construction of the city’s square landscape image, it will helpus to build and gestalt a square of the landscape which has more "reading","understanding” factors by combining the designer and visitor’s ideas in the squaredesign process.
