Roadway is the frame of a city, reflecting the development of its politics, economy and culture, and is the link of city appearance and landscape surroundings. With the booming of economy, the change of lifestyle and concept of people, roadways of a city,apart from being means of transportation, now shoulder the tasks of handing down traditional culture and meeting the aesthetic demands of people as well. However, due to ourselves economically or conceptually, the roadways are far functional enough behind to fulfill above tasks. Roadways of the mountain city are the public corridors,which exert great impact on the whole image and landscape characteristics of it, and necessary transition of landscape features in the mountain city is the way to enhance it.The article interprets the purpose and meaning of studying the transition of landscape features,the range of research object, the foothold of designing methods. Second, the article interprets the concept of the transition of landscape features and site facilities, which paves the way for the category about transition of landscape features designing. Then,the article shows the importance of the environment of transition landscape features, and summarizes the problems of the traffic environment and landscape designing. Finally, the article thinks spatial properties of the transition of landscape features and illustrates its designing purposes and principles by designing skills. The article summarizes design ideas and strategy at the current development stage, and reflects and outlooks the designing of the transition landscape of features. In a word, the article summarizes some methods of the transition landscape features from different levels and viewpoints. And the conclusion emphasize that all the design is to service human.
