Scaffold is a construction tool which is erected for security protecting, workersoperating and solve the floor horizontal transporting. It is convenient for workers toassemble and disassemble, which Set up flexible, Strong versatility and low cost. It hasbecome the most universal and the most used kind of scaffold in China. With thedevelopment of construction industry in China, the collapse accidents of steel tubularscaffold with couplers have occurred, which resulting in huge economic losses andcasualties. So it is necessary to research a safety control measures for the steel tubularscaffold with couplers. It is found that after analysis the collapse accident of steeltubular scaffold with couplers, almost all the collapse accident can found reason fromprocedural safety management except some sudden accidental factors.First, this paper analyzes the cause of the accident scaffold factors, summary themain reason of the accident form the scaffold’s design, product, build, use anddemolition. The horizontal arm, wall connecting piece, scissors, bases of scaffoldupright rod, on this five aspects of the construction specification for designrequirements, proposed the targeted measures to prevention the accident.Secondly, based on the study of the scaffold design calculation theory, research onthe design points and project special construction of steel tubular scaffold with couplers,propose of steel tubular scaffold with couplers’ special construction projectstandardization, to refinement and standardization the construction programmingprocess, fundamentally eliminate the construction safety accidents.In third, analysis of the scaffolding construction hazards genesis, consider with thesurrounding environment and structure characteristics of the project, by use of fault tree analysis of scaffold safety, and build scaffold construction safety warning model.Finally, the paper constructed the steel tubular scaffold with couplers’ constructionsafety management control system,according to the actual site conditions andconstruction methods, through the decomposition analysis careful control of the steeltubular scaffold with couplers construction safety to avoid the occurrence of securityincidents.
