| Open cities are the beginning of urban modernization in modern China. After more than 100 years of development, the port cities have been Formed its own characteristics, and become important part of China’s urban form. However, research on the port cities’spatial form evolution is limited on the phase of qualitative analysis. With the advent of the information age, GIS & VR Technology, which has the function of spatial analysis and visualization, will provide new ways and perspective for the research on open cities.Based on the GIS Technology and the three-dimensional digital model in Tianjin, this paper builds the frame construction of the Urban Spatial Form Evolution of the Neoteric Open Cities, by the analytical methods. This article has six chapters. Chapter I made the background, aims, contents and framework on the subject clear and definitely. Chapter II summarized the present condition of the Urban Spatial Form of Open Cities at home and abroad . Beside, Chapter II also analyzed the theory, the measurement methods and the mode and driving forces of the evolution of the Urban Spatial Form. Analyzed from the macro group spatial structure, moderate external spatial form and the micro internal spatial form aspects, a new analysis method based on the GIS & VR Technology has been established in Chapter III. Chapter IV is the evaluation instance, in which analyzed the evolution process and characteristics of Tianjin, from the macro group spatial structure, moderate external spatial form and the micro internal spatial form aspects. Chapter V made a summary of the evolution characteristics and driving forces of the evolution of the Urban Spatial Form in Tianjin, according to the results of Chapter IV. At last, the paper points out the existing problems and the faced challenges in the new period. In addition, it forecasted the evolving tendency of Tianjin, and gave the key of the next study. |
