Safety Analysis And Countermeasure To Gasification Process On Ammonia Plant

The present paper analysis safety issues of various gasification processes exist on ammonia plants. Risk analysis method was employed for the safety analysis and appropriate safety countermeasures were proposed. Firstly, brief introduction of coal gasification processes applied in ammonia plants in worldwide web were conducted in the paper, comparison of advantages and disadvantages of different coal gasification processes were made and the principles and criteria of gasification chosen were suggested. Secondary, Risk analysis method was conduct to evaluate possible harmful elements and process risk in specific gasification processes. Finally, take Opposed Multi-Burner CWS gasification process in450,000Tons/yr ammonia and800,000Tons/yr project in Henan Xinlianxin Fertilizer Company as the analysis project, onsite process evaluation from aspects of layout, fire and explosion, automatic control, process control, and electrical safety have been conduct in this paper. HAZOP analysis was also conduct to analysis and evaluation on risk source of gasification process. Proposal and methods were proposed for early prevention of risks and timely rectification.
