The pure oxygen(the main raw material of Coal-water slurry Gasification) and process gas(the product of the reaction) are inflammable and explosive chemicals.Besides,the reaction conditions of high temperature and pressure make it more likely to cause fire, explosion and casualties as the result of inappropriate design or misoperation.Once the accident happens,it will give the negative social effects. Therefore, it is a vital significant to Coal-water slurry Gasification process to find out potential safety hazard in the design and prevent the spread of the abnormal or accident.This paper combines risk analysis with the specific production process in the help of process safety management theory. It use the deviation composed of guide words and parameter to analyze the process safety of Coal-water slurry Gasification based on the HAZOP analysis method. With the application of the LOPA protection layer, the paper introduce the LOPA melten into the HAZOP analysis in order to check the present protection layer enough or not.According to the calculation results, the expert will consider to increase the protection measures in time to prevent potential accidents.By analyzing the process safety of Coal-water slurry Gasification with HAZOP method,we can find out the potential safety hazard in the design.By means of risk grade calculation,we will propose related suggestions to reduce or eliminate the hidden danger of production process and ensure the Coal-water slurry Gasification operating safely,stably and efficiently.
