Research On The Performance Of Environmental Governance In Northwest China

The problem of environmental pollution is global recognizednowadays. In the process of inddustrialization, there is no country couldescape the problem. The environmental Kuznets curve shows that, withthe development of industrialization and urbanization, Environmental andeconomic growth relationship change as follows: low income and lowpollution to high income，high pollution to high income，low pollution.To a certain stage of economic development, the governance of theenvironmental pollution is inevitable, and China is now in the stage ofenvironmental governance. As one ecological environment is fragile andspecial area of our country’s, northwest area ecological environment hasits own characteristics.In this paper, the use of economics, management and statistics andother related knowledge and theory, environmental governance approachand the northwest environmental governance efficiency as the main line,analyze the environmental governance characteristics in northwest area.finally, according to results of the analysis, the paper put forward somesuggestion about how to strengthen environmental governance inNorthwest China.This paper gives a descriptive analysis of the environment of thenorthwest area, and points out the characteristics of ecological environment climate in Northwest, such as drought,desertification, soilerosion and the shortage of water resource,at the same time, gives theclimate resaon and historical reasons. Secondly, describe the currentstatus of environmental governance in northwest of China, the central andlocal governments have been put on the important position ofenvironmental governance, northwest area ecological environmentdeterioration has been initially contained. Finally, using the DEA modelto evaluate the efficiency of environmental governance in NorthwestChina, perception to the contrary, model results show that the efficiencyof environmental governance of northwest area is high. The northwestenvironment governance inefficient is not caused by the low efficiency,but due to the lack of investment.Finally, according to the results of analysis, from the approaches ofenvironment management and environmental governance investmentpoint of view, on how to further improve the ecological environment inNorthwest China to give the corresponding policy recommendations...
