Since the industrial revolution,global economic development has led to increasingly serious environmental pollution,especially climate warming.In order to effectively slow down the warming process,China has piloted the carbon emission trading and proposed "carbon peaking" and "carbon neutral" policies and energy saving and emission reduction.As a major emitter of CO2,power co mpanies,especially thermal power companies,are the key target of carbon disposal and management in all countries.As a major player in carbon emission reduction,it is necessary and meaningful to study the carbon performance of thermal power companies from a micro perspective.In this paper,carbon performance is defined as the maximization of output results(maximum power generation and minimum CO2emissions)with the given production factor inputs.In order to identify the problems of carbon performance of H power company in the context of double carbon,this paper initially makes a introductory prognosis of the problems of carbon performance of H power company through interviews,then constructs a carbon performance evaluation index system for H power company,and finally evaluates the carbon performance of H power company using Malmquist index model and SBM model considering non-desired output,the results show that the overall carbon performance of H power company is low.The results show that the overall carbon performance of HEPCO is low,with an average value of0.572 in the past five years,which is 0.126 different from the industry average,and the main problems of HEPCO are low efficiency of carbon technology innovation and research and developme nt,low level of comprehensive utilization of carbon resources,and insufficient level of carbon management.To address the problems of carbon performance,this paper utilises the Tobit model to discern the influencing factors,and the results reveal that the main factors affecting the level of R&D of carbon technology innovation are R&D investment,R&D staff quality and R&D staff ability,the main factors affecting the level of carbon resource utilization are power supply coal consumption,heat supply effi ciency and carbon emission reduction rate,and the main factors affecting the level of carbon management are CO2 emission intensity reduction rate,integrated plant electricity consumption rate and carbon information disclosure quality.After discriminating the significant factors,this paper gives targeted solutions to the problems according to the regression results.
