The pace of urbanization and industrialization has been accelerated rapidly since the1980s. Many industrial firms were removed out of down-town areas during the process of urban industry restructuring, leaving a large number of contaminated site. The continuously raised population and the grown need of land forces us to reuse the contaminated sites. While, threatens to human health caused by the "poisonous land"events happened frequently these ten years alarms people that environmental problems of the contaminated sites should be paid great attention. Environmental restoration and reuse of the contaminated site becomes an urgent issue that needs to be solved. In some other countries, however, experience of contaminated site management has been developed for30years long,which has formed a set of effective management system. On the basis of introducing the present condition and problems of the contaminated site reuse in China, this thesis aims to raise some exercisable solutions for improving the system of contaminated site reuse in our country through learning the numerous experiences from other counties.The whole thesis consists of5chapters.Chapter1briefly introduce the paper’s background, research methods and research status at home and abroad.Chapter2mainly expatiates on the definition and genesis of contaminated site and the realistic meaning of reusing contaminated site.Chapter3mainly summarizes problems of contaminated site reuse in our country through a brief introduction of the general condition of contaminated sites in our country, the pollutant type of the contaminated sites and the present situation of the contaminated site restoration and reuse.Chapter4introduces the contaminated site reuse system of seven developed countries around the Americas. Europe. Asia.and partial cities in our country.Through summing up their experiences, we could get some revelation.Chapter5provides some exercisable solutions for the establishment of contaminated site reuse system in our county from the aspects of legal system construction.
