With the development of open coal mine enterprises towards large-scale and modernizationin our country, it has became emergency for the coal mine enterprises to research major hazardidentification and great accident prevention in open coal mine.According to the classification principles and characteristics of major hazards in coal mine, this paper divided major hazards into fire hazards, flood hazards and electric shock hazards inopen coal mine. The paper also proposed suitable hazard evaluation methods and analyzed itsrisks in open coal mine through analyzing influence factors of different hazards. The significantdifferent causes are obvious in different disaster level accidents, and that the distinctive accidentcauses are the key reasons which lead to extraordinary big coalmine accidents. The lack ofnumerous basic core conditions is the root causation of the extraordinary big gas explosionaccidents. And that the result shows that the causes of different periods’s accidents have littlechanges, and the enhancement of management and technology of those coalmine occurredaccidents are limited.According to the influence factors of accident hazards and the purpose ofevaluation, prevention and control, this paper established an evaluation index system. Combinedwith the real situation in Shenhua Baorixile open coal mine, this paper analyzed the factors thatmay affect the mine flood, electric shock and vehicle accidents, determined various factors thatinfluence coal mine accidents, and proposed specific prevention measures. Thus, for effectiveprevention of extraordinary big coalmine accidents,, distinctive accident causes and factors ofthe accident expansion should be particularly concerned as the central issue.
