Four materials (1-NX:from Ningxia zoology;2-HB1:5years of Ceratoides arborescens;3-HB2:3years of Ceratoides arborescens;4-KE, Ceratoides arborescens in ecotype) from three Ceratoides arborescens were treated with sublethal temperature in different seasons. And then evaluate the difference of Ceratoides cold tolerance. Six physiological indexes related with the cold tolerance were measured to explore the effects of different cold resistance physiological base. The main results are as follows:1. Results about plant cell permeability showed that, with the temperature gradually decreased, to some extent, membrane system of all materials were destroyed. And the order of the four material to cold resistance as:4-KE>2-HB1>1-NX>3-HB2.2. Result about the physiological basis of Ceratoides cold resistance showed that, the differences among these four materials were significant, respectively. Especially, accumulated Proline content had the significant differences among four seasons.3Some Ceratoides physiology indexes showed that, the correlation between Proline and Ceratoides cold resistance, soluble protein and Ceratoides Cold resistance’had significant differences. However, the changes of Malondialdehyde content, POD and soluble sugar content had no stable rules.4Values from four seasons showed that, materials treated in winter showed best cold resistance. So treat Ceratoides in winter season is a good way to improve the plants cold resistance.
