Because of plant species is less available when ecological restoration in Ningxia loess hilly region, so introduced some species, eg. Ceratoides arborescens, Atriplex Canescens and other species in 2014. A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of different water treatments[CK (85%~90%), Ti (65%~70%), T2 (50%~55%), T3 (35%~40%)] on the photosynthenic and physiological characteristics of Ceratoides arborescens and Atriplex Canescens cutting seedlings.The results showed that:(1)At T3 levels,when water stress 24d, Ceratoides arborescens leaves victims serious Atriplex Canescens lighter. With the increase of water stress, two shrubs RWC, roots RWC overall presentation CK> T1> T2> T3, and Ceratoides arborescens is greater the decrease than in Atriplex Canescens, water saturation deficit (WSD), root to shoot ratio showed CK<T1< T2<T3, and Ceratoides arborescens shoot ratio for each level of CK difference was significant (p<0.05), and Atriplex Canescens in T3 levels with each other a significant difference (p<0.05).(2)With the increase of water stress, membrane permeability of Ceratoides arborescens is trend to step growth, under drought stress Atriplex Canescens rendered to CK<T1<T2<T3 and in the T3 levels were 0.63%,0.90%, and the difference was significant (p<0.01); the content of two shrubs of MDA compared with CK, were significantly increased at each level (p<0.05), and in T2 level reaches the maximum; two shrubs of peroxidase (POD) activity reaches the maximum level at T1 were 340.83U·min·mg-1protein,862.93U·min·mg-1protein, significantly higher than CK (P <0.01), Atriplex Canescens significantly lower than the control (p<0.01) in T2, T3 levels; Compare with CK, other leveles were significantly increased (p<0.01) of two shrubs of proline (Pro) content, in the T2 level, Atriplex Canescens Pro content increased by 28 times compared with CK.(3)With water stress intensified, Ceratoides arborescens at different levels of leaf transpi-ration rate (Tr), net photosynthetic rate (Pn) both showed regular is CK> T1> T2> T3; At the T2 treatment, leaf transpiration rate (Tr)of Atriplex Canescens reaches the maximum, the minimum level in the T1;Net photosynthetic rate (Pn) control the maximum, the minimum level at T3; Under moderate drought stress, photosynthetic pigments Atriplex Canescens of (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and carotenoids) increased photosynthetic and capacity enhancement.(4)Under different drought stress, two shrubs of crude protein were higher than 200g·kg-1, crude fiber content were lower than 180g·kg-1, and belongs to the protein feed.(5)According to the results of subordinate function value analysis, the order of the drought tolerance capability of two shrubs followed Atriplex Canescens> Ceratoides arborescens.
