The Research Based On ArcIMS Of Thecampus’ WebGIS System

Human society is gradually entering the information age.Which also includes educationalinformation. Educational informatization means that people adopted in advanced technologyand intelligent instruments to the field of education.In China, most of the colleges anduniversities have already implemented digital education, digital research and digitalmanagement. But the integration between spatial data and non-spatial data has not beenorganically achieved. In order to achieve this goal, the campus space data can be collected,operated, managed, analyzed and simulated by the Geographic Information System (whichcan be abbreviated GIS) and the WebGIS technology. Combining with the attribute data, andthrough the geographical analysis method to establish the Internet network GIS System, thusthe convenience of using the Internet, and through the unified keenness access relevantInformation to provide the Internet network of ArcIMS figures and the space of Informationmanagement platform.In this paper, introducted and analysised GIS, WebGIS and related technologies ArcIMSof the campus electronic map display system to achieve key technical---WebGIS technology.(1) This paper focuses on WebGIS implementation technology selection Problem. Thispaper study the WebGIS implementation techniques and methods, WebGIS interoperabilityissues and solutions, clients implementation techniques and the basic framework, which alsopropose the relevant areas of WebGIS in practical applications and the other issues involved.This paper construct a campus electronic map display system which is based on ArcIMS andSQL database to achieve the WebGIS technology research, providing many kinds of functionsfor map operation. The paper achieve the fuzzy queries or the accurate query for theelectronic map data, attribute data and spatial queries,which is based on the original map ofthe enlargement, reduction, roaming, object selection and other operations functions.(2) This paper focuses on ArcIMS system and database connection Problem.This paperintroduced ArcIMS, its three layer construction and the principle of its application. Then wedesigned and built up a campus electronic map system of Henan technology university basedon ArcIMS and SQL, including system demands,system design, system enviroment,development process, data processing,web geographic map and so on. This system carried outthe functions we talked about above. Do a theoretical improvement about Shortest distancebetween two points on the digital campus.
