Japanese marsh warbler (Megalurus pryeri) belong to Passeriformes Sylviidae, is endemic to east Asia. March to August in2010to2011, in Chongming Dongtan Nature Reserve of Shanghai,Japanese marsh warbler nest site selection in the preliminary research. Research of the nest, using the method of total area investigation, included random line transects and sampling methods to find the nest and habitat measurements. In total33nests were found in the field, and to nest as the center selection1m×1m kind of square measure reflects characteristics of the nest site8habitat parameters are analyzed, principal component and step by step discriminant analysis explore the dominant factor influencing nest site selection. The results showed that:Chongming Dongtan build two nest type, shallow cup shape without cover nest and elliptic have cover nest, but the Chongming Dongtan unique phenomenon; Japanese marsh warbler shallow cup shape without cover nest with19(57.8%) was built in pure Spartina alterniflora habitat, elliptic have cover nest with14(42.4%) was built in mixture of Spartina alterniflora and Phragmites australis habitats; two nest type in Chongming Dongtan of nest-site selection:1. two nest type of nest-site habitat and random was compared, the Mann-Whitney U test results show that it like subtilis high-density, shallow shoals nest most close to the trail; principal component analysis showed that the maximum contribution rate of the hidden factor of vegetation and spatial location factor, affect it nest site selection of the main factors. Stepwise discriminant analysis showed that the①The most important factor of shallow cup shape without cover nest is the litter of Spartina alterniflora cover.②The most important factor of elliptic have cover nest is plant density; By comparison of4breeding ground for nest site selection, Japanese marsh warbler suitable habitat is reed, reed grass, marsh, tidal flats or shallow water rushes sparse high plants and sedge, Carex, Spartina alterniflora in a dense low plant growth. Therefore, the difference between the two nest-type nest site selection in different habitats, for the evaluation of the Dongtan Ecological construction and bird resources protection and management and utilization of important guiding significance.
