The Japanese marsh warbler(Megalurus pryeri) is one of species only distributed in East Asia. It is the endemic species in part of Japan and China. In recent years, many distribution of Japanese marsh warbler has been found. Dandong yalu River Estuary wetland nature reserve is one of the most important breeding places. We researched on reproductive ecology in this reserve from May to July2012.23nests of Japanese marsh warbler were found in the study area, most of the nests have complete the reproduction or chicks in the nests,6of the nests have eggs. The nest is primary made up of kraurotic leaves of reed, hard rush and epigeios roth. The clutch size is4±0.81(n=6), the egg is white. The incubation is10-11d, the nesting is9-10d, outside the brood nest is3-4d.The average temperature of incubation period of the nest is(27.17±0.12)℃,the temperature ranges between (27.59-28.16)℃.Hatchability is82.1%(23/28), the fledging rate is78.9%(45/57), the reproduction success is68.4%(13/19). The best environment for Japanese Marsh Warbler in Dandong is the one that have dry grass blow, shallow underground water, waterless and high plant density, distance from the surface of the water is close. To compare the breeding condition of three regions, including Shanghai, Zhalong and Dandong, compare the nest parameter, egg parameter and habitat selection. Result show that nest parameter and egg parameter in three areas are different. The ecological environment of the three areas is different, so there is difference in habitat selection, the resources is limited by natural conditions. But there is common between them, they choose suitable place to nidify which high plant density, distance from the surface of the water is close, have dry grass blow.
