The research of Marsh Grassbird (Locustella pryeri) in Poyang Lake Nanji Wetland National Natrural Reserve of Jiangxi Province, and Chongming Dongtan National Nature Reserve of Shanghai City, and Shuangtaihekou National Nature Reserve of Liaoning Province includes the distribution and population density of Marsh Grassbird, and the analysis of nest-site research of Marsh Grassbird. It started from April,2008 to July,2010.The distribution of Marsh Grassbird in China is:Breeding in Qiqihar and Daqin of Heilongjian province, Donggang and Panjin of Liaoning province, Nanchang of Jiangxi province, Shanghai. Observed in Dongying of Shandong province, Anqing of Anhui province, Wuhan of Hubei province, Yueyang of Hunan province, Nanchang of Jiangxi province, Cixi of Zhejiang province in winter. The population density survey shows that the breeding quantity of Zhalong Natrural Reserve is 100-200, of Shuangtaihekou Nature Reserve is 250, of Chongming Dongtan Nature Reserve is 104, and of Nanji Wetland Natural Reserve is 200-300. The overwintering quantity of Nanji Wetland Natural Reserve is 203.The result of principal components analysis of ecology factors of nest-selection in 3 study areas indicates that low- plant height, low- plant canopy and plant species are key factors in Jiangxi's 10 nests; low- plant height and low- plant canopy are key factors in Liaoning's 28 nests; hay-grass height, interference and water depth are main factors Chongming Dongtan Nature Reserve's 10 nests.Mann Whitney U test of 3 sudy areas indicates that Marsh Grassbird chooses suitable place to nidify which plant density and plant height is satisfied with its nest.
