At present, the mineral location prediction work with multi-information is universal, which is in need of the important technology GIS. GIS is developed rapidly since it has appeared, which is applied in many fields such as Land and resource, electric power, traffic, geology, mining industry and so on. As the application of the GIS technology’s further development, a variety of GIS software came out, and the outstanding ArcGIS plays an important role in the world, by virtue of its concept of space and the advantage of the Object-oriented Geodatabase data model. However in China, there is little instance of data model’s application to geology and mining. So based on the platform of ArcGIS, and combining it’s scientific concept of Geodatabase data model and the space analysis technology of GIS with the theory of mineral prediction, this article studies the feasibility of multi-information mineral location prediction using Geodatabase data model and the role data model plays, wishing that ArcGIS can be widely used in the fields of geology and mining.According to the data and resource that have been collected about the study area, design the reasonable conceptual model of the Geodatabase data model, build the logical data model in Microsoft Visio software with the help of Unified Modeling Language(UML), import the UML model into ArcGIS by the interface of CASE tool provided by ArcGIS, and at last achieve the creation of the Geodatabase physical data model. On the basis of the data model that has been built already, realize the application purpose which includes the visualization expression of data and briefly describes the mineral location prediction work of multi-information as an example and so on using variety analysis tools in ArcGIS. Preliminarily study the feasibility and practical significance of multi-information mineral location prediction with Geodatabase data model.
