Geomorphology is an important component of natural geographicalenvironment.To a certain degree, It not only influences the changes and developmentof other ecologic environmental factors but also influences many aspects of sociallife and production. The representation and organization of geomorphology data areimportant methods and approach for constructing digital geomorphology. Thedevelopment of GIS supplies effective methods for the logical representation andorganization of geomorphology data in Heihe region. It can provide important datasupport for simulating attributes and behavirs of regional geomorphology,analyzingthe relations between regional geomorphology and other natural environmentalfactors.Recently, ESRI has explored a new advanced data model——Geodatabase. Thedata model has been applied to every field of the society. The dissertation organizesgeomorphology data in Heihe region with the Geodatabase database model ofArcGis 9.1.On the basis of analyzing the concrete geomorphologic factors of Heihe region,the geomorphologic factors are achieved and the dissertation chooses main factorsthat can inflect the geomorphology in Heihe region. The dissertation uses remotesensing image,DEM,geological map and GIS to identify the geomorphology dataeach another. Though the description of Geodatabase database model, thedissertation uses the expression and storage patterns of Geodatabase database modelto express the geomorphologic factors. The dissertation puts forward the basicconcepts for organizing data,the line of technology and the basic framework for thegeomorphologic data organization in Heihe region. On the basis of the basicframework, the dissertation will combine the geomorphologic data with theGeodatabase database model to make some rules such as validation rules,connectivity rules,the topology rules and relationship rules for the geomorphologicdata in order to express the concrete geomorphology in Heihe and simulate thegeomorphologic attributes and behavior. And the dissertation takes two examples toexplain the application of the organization of geomorphology data in Heihe region.
