Spatial Data Management Based On ArcGIS Server

With the continuous access of remote spatial data, how to effectively store, manage,andpublish these huge amounts of data, has become a problem which urgent need to besolved in the construction of national basic geographic information. At the same time,with therapid development of computer technology，space technology and the day by day improvementof computer graphics theory, the technology of Geographic Information System (GIS: GeographicInformation System）has been gradually matured,and being recognized and accepted by a growingpopularity. The application of spatial data was penetrated into a growing number of areas.However, it comes from various forms and differs in its demonstration. We need a common spatialdata management platform in order to make better use of space data.This paper designed a spatial data management program which through object-orientedmethod on the basis of analyzing various spatial data sources and demonstration and the basicneeds of spatial data management. The system uses Visual Studio2008as development tool and itoffers developers with various of Standards-based IT Development interface which is provided byArcGIS for programmer to realize this design. Function tests showed that the system absolutelymeets the requirements of designing and the spatial data management.
