Objective:Based on new public service theory, focus on public perspective in the food safety supervision area in Zhejiang province, to full understand both sides of cognitive level and satisfaction status about food safety, analysis the existence problems and reasons in food safety supervision. At last, it will put forward some measures to consummate food safety work in Zhejiang province, and increase public s food safety confidence and security.Methods:This study adopted literature review, questionnaire survey and expert interview methods to collect quantitative and qualitative data. A questionnaire survey was used to collect quantitative data on11districts' urban areas in Zhejiang province by multi-stage stratified random sampling and purposive sampling methods selected permanent population; effevtive sample size was7460copies. Analytical methods such as quantitative description, chi-square, non-parameter test and non-conditional logistic regression analysis etc were used. Qualitative data included policy documents and suggestions from food safety supervision departments' leaders and experts.Results:(1) Public had good food safety consciousness, but general food safety knowledge (67.3%), but they had. Significant differences existed in food safety knowledge among different sub-groups, people who living in urban areas, with higher food safety concerns, longer living time; higher education relatively had good cognition.(2) The satisfaction level of food safety regulatory status quo and regulatory work were low, which located in "relatively satisfaction" and "general satisfaction", and this two variables had positive correlation. The common six influencing factors about public s satisfaction of food safety regulatory status quo and regulatory work were unlicensed phenomenon cognitive, food safety propaganda work dynamics, food illegal behavior against strength, complaints whistle unblocked degree, sex and education degree, and the satisfaction of food safety regulatory status quo also had other three influencing factors, including residence, occupation and unsafe food experience.(3) Safe diet knowledge was considered the most needed knowdge,and public thought government should strength food safety supervision. Conclusion:Food companies and government departments were considered to be the main subjects of responsibility for food safety problems, and it had present legislation shortage in the process of food safety regulation, as well as weak supervision resources, incomplete supervision technology, nonstandard media reports and other difficulties. Thus it is importment to improve food safety regulations and standards, strengthen food safety supervision, Foster food safety credict system, enhance.risk communication skills and strengthen food safety propaganda activities.
