5S is a working spot management method that originated in Japan. It represents five Japanese terms beginning with the letter"S",namely "Seiri,Seiton,Seiso,Seiketsu and Shitsuke",which mean "sorting,organization,cleaning,Standardization and Discipline".Countless successful experiences shows that it can brings finer image,less delivery time,safer working,more excellent workers and more comfortable working place. At the same time,it is the basic of lean production and the pursuit of continuous improvement.Based on the conditions of M company which produces large valves,by means of related theory of5S management,we analyze and improve the enterprise production in the workshop.This thesis mainly includes the following contents.1)Firstly,we introduced the5S management theory and the background of the current reseach both in China and abroad,reviewed the development of5S management and related theory.Also,we expound the thought and characteristic of5S.2)Through the literature review,and combine with the investigation in M company,we found5S management applications project.Also we put forward the process—PDCA of advanced and retaliate maneuverability,offered check list for applied andset up a comprehensive evaluation model to evaluate the performance of carrying out5S management.3)According to the target,characteristics and present situation of management in M company,we set up the specific solution of5S for M company.We used the5S management methods and the application project given above to solve the specific problems.We use PDCA to ensure the promoting of5S management continuously;use the red card to reduce the production of necessity and ensure loose production field;we use Fixation Management,Visual Management to make all goods be set in reasonable position and be signed effectively,so that the workers can do their work efficiently and easily.We gave the steps and matters need attention for the last3S. Research shows that,the5S management can greatly reduce the necessities of enterprise,reduce the labor intensity,improve the work efficiency,build relaxed environment.5S is an easy understanding theory but request many technique during the practice. This thesis paid more attention to the way of practice. Hope this paper can be very useful for the other company in their management.
