The total amount of import and export trade of China, which ranked the world's top three, was 24465 billion in 2009. Among that, the total amount of import and export trade in goods was 21581 billion and the total amount of import and export trade in services was 2884 billion. Compared with the trade surplus of goods trade, which was 2495 billion, the trade deficit of services trade was 294 billion. As the important part of services trade, the trade deficit of transportation services was 78% of the total amount. The comparative analysis on international competitiveness of trade in transportation services indicated the reasons of transportation services trade deficit, which are low market share, lack of comparative advantage and low export contribution rate. All of these lead to the lack of international competitiveness in our transportation services. In order to improve the international competitiveness in our transportation services, this paper based on Porter's competitiveness theory proposes the factors evaluation system of transport service trade. The system selects eight factors and twelve indexes to modeling and determining the factors'impact strength. According to the above analysis, specific recommendations are given at the end to promote the development of China's trade in transportation services.
