In the 20th century, service economy plays a leading role in the developed countries. In some developed countries, service economy has taken over 70% of total GDP. Separated from service industries, producer services increase fast due to continuous improvement of market division and coordination. It reflects internationalization of the cities so as to accelerate its development as well as the manufacturing industry becomes the primary responsibility for national economic growth.In recent years, Strategy for producer services development is taken more seriously by more and more cities. However, some cities have paid less attention to the regular of producer services in their development process. Cities should improve their competitive power and regional value if they tend to be central ones. However, each city has its own industry, resource and government policy, so to research further on the producer services evaluation and central effect for the cities not only has great significance for theory, but also has practical value. This research thesis composes the following main aspects.Firstly, relative researches on producer services are summarized. Based on the concept, regular, evaluation of producer services, the framework of this research is fixed.Secondly, this thesis uses the theories foundation of the article researches on the producer services competition ability evaluation and influence factors to set up evaluation model, after R cluster analysis and Factor analysis by SPSS, the evaluation indicators are selected to evaluate the producer services of 21 central cities of China in entropy method.Thirdly, this thesis adopts cluster analysis, co-integration analysis and input-output method to research the spatial distribution and development levels of producer services in Yangtze River delta. The conclusions deepen and enrich content of differential competition of producer services in metropolitan area.Finally, according to the conclusions, this thesis provides the policy recommendations to develop producer services in central cities and pick up some contents for further research in the future.
