Study On The Intensive Land-Use Of Metropolitan Fringe

At present, China has entered the development stage of rapid urbanization and industrialization, city development demands for more and more land. Urban fringe is a combination of city and country that has both characteristics of the city and country area. As lacking of deserved attention, these regions are not well explored in a sustainable development concept, the issue of urban fringe land use has become increasingly prominent.Nowadays, the metropolitan fringe land use has become increasingly concerned by the government and also the academic community. But so far, the theoretic system of intensive utilization of metropolitan fringe land has not been established. So. the research should be strengthened.There are six chapters in the article.In the first chapter, the background of the research has been discussed, the research development of land use at home and abroad has been reviewed in a detail, and the research method, the content, and the meaning of the paper has also been introduced.The second chapter has scientifically defined connotations of intensive use of metropolitan fringe land. Then this paper reveals the general laws of land use structure changes in metropolitan fringe in the course of urbanization and points out that the sharp decrease of arable land has become the most striking characteristic.In the third chapter, based on analysis of the main factors that affecting the level of the intensive use of metropolitan fringe land, referenced evaluation index system of urban land intensive utilization from domestic towns., established evaluation index system on intensive land-use of Jiangning district by AHP and Delphi Method. The paper has adopted comprehensive evaluation of multi-factor approach. Selected the degree of intensive land use, related factors of intensive land use, include social and environment factors, the trend of intensive land use as the evaluation target.In the forth chapter, author made an evaluation on the level of the intensive land use of Jiangning district. The appraisal result indicated that the present Jiangning district land use level is at the basic intensified utilization stage. on the base of Jiangning district land intensified utilization analysis and appraisal, acting as circumstances permit. proposed the countermeasure and the suggestion, to instruct Jiangning district land reasonably and intensified utilization.At last, though the front of theoretical research and empirical analysis, has got main conclusion of the research of this topic. At the same time, some deficiencies and questions that require further study are put forward.
