China's manned space engineering, lunar exploration and other large aerospace projects have made rapid development as China's national economic development and the comprehensive national strength. China has entered the ranks of space powers; we should combine tasks of project management in aerospace model engineering with the latest and most practical management theory to maintain our existing position in the aerospace market. Only in this way, we can improve China's space project management techniques, then, making the work of project management display new vitality and vigor.Schedule management is a very important part in Aerospace Model Engineering project management. Based on the introduction of basic theories and methods,such as the concepts,processes and principles of project schedule management, we review and summarize the current situation of schedule management in aerospace model engineering project in China. As complexity and uncertainty of aerospace model Engineering project are a basic starting point of schedule management, Therefore, this paper analysis the principles and procedures of schedule risk management which including methods, frameworks and processes of risk identification, risk analysis and risk evaluation; do a thorough and detailed discussion of the principles, methods, processes, trends of project schedule control in aerospace model engineering, and introduce the basic principles and methods of optimization in project schedule adjustments and optimization. Finally, we apply the theory and methods of project schedule management, control and optimization to a model satellite development projects, its management organization system and the organization's role in the progress management are analyzed, project's main risk factors and events are listed, Schedule management focus in various stages are elaborate. Moreover, use progress optimization method to conduct a case study, in order to achieve effective progress control on aerospace model engineering projects.
