Fujikura Changchun has been instructed to survive among worldwide foreign companies with quality policy'Satisfy our clients with superior quality, low cost and high reputation'together with the strategic policy'Fujikura's third 60 years of leadership'. Company development and operating cost are influenced directly by social development, environmental change and customers'increasing demand. Therefore, supply chain management plays a decisive role in company development. And furthermore effective control of logistics cost is the key point in decreasing company operating cost. Company should formulate effective logistics management system for cost saving, time saving and efficiency increasing. Only warehouse electronic system runs better, can company make higher profit and develop better for further.Starting with status and process of the company development, the thesis aims to specify the status, function and deficiency of logistics department during company development. Through detecting problem from deficiencies, finding out solving program, designing solving program, an operational warehouse management system suitable for company development is finally formulated.This paper is divided into 4 chapters. The first chapter will start from Fujikura's beginning. Fujikura is developing rapidly among the world, which keeps groping for further development and progressing with the pulse of times. Company management takes great functions in Fujikura's progressing process in which Fujikura develops from a company that can only make cable products to a famous enterprise of making Automotive wire harness. Except for the reputation in international market, Fujikura also has been growing vigorously among domestic wire harness market. Fujikura Company is getting more and stronger, with the production for all kinds of harnesses used for different car models like German cars and Japan cars. Also the branch company has been founded in Zhuhai, Changchun and Shanghai.The second chapter will introduce the current situation of Fujikura's warehouse management. Warehouse management level is affected by the whole company's managing system. Besides the work volume of warehouse is determined by other departments'managing and working process. Production plan is the beginning for plant's production. The accuracy of production plan and the storage set for each part determines raw material delivery frequency, quantity and storing area, also it will determine the warehouse operators'workload. Focus on every detail in operating process, and then detect problems and deficiencies.The third chapter is the key for the whole paper, which will solves the problems put forwarded in second chapter through setting systematic program. First of all, simplify the current method of making production plan. Put customer's purchase order into system directly, then the system will automatically calculate the producing quantity of per month for each part. This system can greatly improve planning engineer's work efficiency and eliminate the risks caused by human errors. The purchase dept. makes purchase order according to production plan, inputting basic component's information into system, such as component No., drawing date, MOQ, MPQ, loss rate, delivery leadtime and supplier's production leadtime and so on. Then system will automatically calculate each component's half-monthly demanding quantity. Fujikura's order information can be transmitted to supplier directly through EDI system, which eliminates manual operating. Supplier will organize inner production on receiving customer instructions, which reduces production delay caused by manual communication using phone or email, above all avoiding the production stop risk for company. By using in-out warehouse system in raw material warehouse and finish goods warehouse, workload can be greatly reduced and work accuracy will be improved, which can ensure the 100% conformity between system data and realistic data.The fourth chapter mainly introduces the capital investment and work process changes caused by the above system improvement. Also states the system improvements can bring what kind of effective functions and deficiencies for enterprise. Enterprises are developing under a changing world, continuously improving requires perseverance.
