Study On Logistics Performance Evaluation Based On Value Chain Theory

The rapid progress of science and technology, and the rapid development of social and economic promote enterprises must pursuit the high-efficiency mode of operation constantly; in addition, enterprises must cope with high speed and high flexibility of the changing needs, and the business scope has also been greatly extended. By reducing the product cost, improve operational efficiency and rapid response to customer demand, Logistics enterprises has become the company's "third profit source", and many economists make Logistics enterprises as "accelerator", which promote economic develop. Compared with developed countries, the efficiency of our logistics system, logistics costs and logistics degree of specialization have a certain gap, therefore we need establish a scientific and reasonable performance evaluation system, and select the appropriate assessment methods, which reflect the overall development status, to enhance the level of our country's logistics is crucial. This paper built on related research results of existing logistics performance evaluation and based on the value chain theory to do further research about performance evaluation of logistics enterprises, the study includes as follows:First, the theory of the value chain and value chain theory, which was applied in the performance evaluation, were outlined, and related logistics performance evaluation studies were reviewed;Second, build a logistics value chain model, and on this basis, build a logistics enterprise performance evaluation system, which reflects internal and external value of the logistics enterprises. The performance evaluation system included economic benefits of the value chain, logistics quality, internal resources and ability, which measured logistics enterprise's internal value, and client, which measured logistics enterprise's external value.Third, build a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model. After normalized in the indicators, eliminated the different orders of magnitude and dimension of the impact evaluation results, the use of objective evaluation methods——entropy method to determine the weight of each indicator, and to conduct the comprehensive evaluation in the last;Fourth, the case studies and the evaluation object is COSCO Xinjiang International Freight Co., Ltd.. Used the previously established performance evaluation index system and the selected evaluation method to conduct a comprehensive evaluation, which verified the feasibility practical guidance of the study results;Finally, the conclusion summarized the results of the study and pointed out the inadequacies of the study, and the future research directions. This study applied the value chain theory to the logistics performance evaluation and provided a new perspective for the logistics performance evaluation, which help companies to grasp the key factors that relate its short-term economic and long-term development ability. All of these can help logistics enterprises achieve value-added, enhance the core competitiveness, assure sustainable development of enterprises.
