An Analysis On Growth Drag Of Urbanization Caused By Land Resource Scarcity

The urbanization is product of economic and social development.It is the important sign of human civilization and progress.As a developing country,China is in the stage of accelerated urbanization.Increase of urban population and expansion of urban scale is bound to consume some natural resources.Land resource is the basic need of human survival and development,however,,because of its limited quantity,fixed location,non-substitutability and so on,the conflict of land resource supply and the urbanization demand is becoming more apparent.Land resource is gradually becoming a bottleneck in the urbanization process.So,in order to promote the urbanization steadily,the study of growth drag of China's urbanization caused by land resource has great significance.First of all,this paper summarized related articales about studies of relations between urbanization and land resource, growth drag caused by land resource.Then,described the traces of land resource attitude in economic growth theories,and analysed influence mechanism of land resource to urbanization.Next, Based on CES production function,this paper put forwad the models of growth drag of China's urbanization caused by land resource in the case of "available land resource amount is fixed" and "available land resource amount increases".Then empirical analysis with the panal data of 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of China was done,and estimated the growth drag of them. Also,according to general spatial autocorrelation index and local spatial autocorrelation index,this paper analysed the space relationship about 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. The results showed that:compared with each area,the growth drag of whole country urbanization caused by land resource is low,and the value in the case of "fixed available land resource amount" is higher than value in the case of "available land resource amount increases"; Judging from the national transverse comparison,the growth drag of each region has big difference; In terms of geographical distribution in space,the mean value of Growth Drag of China's Urbanization Caused by Land Resource decreases gradually from east to west in China,it is corresponded to the economic development pattern of the east, middle and west zone;and the growth drag of thirty areas has space relationship.At last,In view of the above conclusion,the paper put forward related suggestions to lower growth drag of China's urbanization caused by land resource.
