The practice of economic development History shows, regional economic differences is an objective existence phenomenon in the process of regional economic development, in different stages of economic development, regional economic differences are inevitable, but when differences in regional economic development will be expanded to a certain extent, the development of economy have many negative effects, such as the prevalence of local protectionism, regional market segmentation, regional conflicts, which resulting in a decline in the efficiency of regional economy and undermining national or regional stability and harmony.Sichuan is located in the western interior, is the province and even an important center city in southwest China, Since the reforms and development of the western region, Sichuan Province has a rapid economic development speed and the economic strength has greatly improved. At the same time, contradictions between regional economic development is increasingly prominent, and therefore the study of Sichuan province for the promotion of regional economic differences in regional economic development has important practical significance.This paper first describes the concepts of regional economic differences, Systematic organization of the differences in regional economic development theories and research methods, and this study has laid a theoretical foundation; Secondly, it selected 21 articles City and five the largest economic zones of Sichuan Province as sub-regional research and analysis unit,including three parts:First, the conventional analysis based on a single indicator, including the regional differences in the absolute and relative differences in estimates, Second, based on the Theil index differences in the composition of the overall economy of our province was decomposition analysis, the difference in the overall economy and further broken down into different areas and Interval International, To make up for lack of a single index, this paper selected the infrastructure level, the level of economic development, social development level of 18 indicators angle indicator establish a comprehensive index system.
