Since the reform and opening up,China’s economic growth rate has attracted worldwide attention, but regional economic differences increasingly significant. Regional economic disparity has become an important factor in the economic and social health of rapid development. Regional economic disparities in our different regions have different characteristics,and the Yangtze River economic belt running through the heart of the three regions,the future of China’s opening up and development of important economic axis,the evolution characteristics of regional economic difference is worth exploring. This article is research in this context.And gives recommendations to reduce regional differences.Firstly,this paper reviews the results of academic research on regional economic disparity and influencing factors,and related theoretical basis of regional economic disparities of the sort, and summarize.Secondly,we select standard deviation, the weighting coefficient of variation, the theil index measures three indicators. Then we measure the regional differences of the Yangtze River economic belt of the economy in provincial economic disparities, the economic differences between the middle and lower reaches,the middle and lower reaches internal economic disparities three levels. The results show that: Since the reform and opening up,the absolute difference in the Yangtze River Economic Belt was gradually widening,on the contrary,the relative difference was slow narrowing trend; in most years(except 1978--1984),economic disparities between the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River differences of Economic Zone decisive factor; the middle reaches of the lower level of internal economic disparities,changes more stable,on the contrary, internal economic disparities downstream zone varies significantly,experienced a sharp decline.Again,the 11 provinces along the Yangtze River Economic Belt were ranked with the manner of principal component analysis. And rank the 11 provinces according to the overall strength of the 11 provinces were classified as follows: first gradient: developed regions- Shanghai. The second gradient: the more developed regions- Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Third gradient: less developed regions- Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan,Chongqing Municipality and Anhui. Fourth gradient: backward regions-Jiangxi,Yunnan and Guizhou Province.Finally,we explore the factors affecting the economic differences from a historical basis,policy and institutional environment,geographic conditions, industrial structure and human capital in five areas,and gives recommendations to reduce regional differences...
