DM, invest by Americans, was a freighter forwarder established in China in 1990 subject to the permission of governmental foreign trade in department. Since the bonded policy developed a lot, fast and deeply, Shanghai international shipping center establishing, brings a large number of opportunities for the logistics company. As the logistics companies' eager to enter into Shanghai international shipping centre, it will be valuable and necessary to study and research the strategies for the logistics companies to develop here.I will use the inner-outer environment analysis, Porter five forces analysis and SWOT analysis to analyze the macro environment of the companies, logistics industry and changing logistics service market. It testifies that the companies will face a lot of obstacle but of course the challenges and opportunities. Now the most challenges are how to use the operation strategies to develop in Shanghai market to stabilize themselves and get more market share. After the SWOT analysis, I find that DM's goal and objective should spread the operation scope to profit from more points, focus on technology enhancement and innovation, develop consultation and electronic information service. The second goal is to develop the third-party logistic by the advantage of company to become the comprehensive third-party logistics company which can provide first-rate package freight forwarder service. I combine the market strategies, sales strategies, financial strategies, resources strategies and innovation strategies into a final comprehensive strategies to establish a organized and series strategies system to help the company develop more effective.By analyzing and research the DM freight forwarder's development strategies in Shanghai bonded zone, I wish other similar can use it as an example and reference. |
