The insurance industry is a talent intensive industry, so the competition of the insurance market is also a competition on talents. At present, in China's insurance industry, talent resources have become one of the most important strategic resources and deterministic significance of talents in the market competition have been increasingly growing. With the overall opening of China's insurance industry and accelerated entering pace of foreign-funded enterprises into China, talents development and management of insurance industry are confronted with a new challenge. How to accelerate the talent team construction in the insurance industry and break the talent "bottleneck" in the insurance industry development have become a problem urgently needing to be solved presently.China's insurance industry is in the primary stage of development now, and the talent team in the insurance industry is developing and expending unceasingly in the process of accelerated development of insurance industry. In 1980, People's Insurance Company (Group) of China exclusively operated with 4,000 employees when the insurance business was just recovered; nowadays, there are over 100 insurance companies with over two million employees. However, at present, insurance talent team construction is far away from satisfying the industry development strategy, which is shown as:first, the total amount of talents is insufficient and the overall quality is not high; second, higher education cultivation cannot meet the demands of industry development; third, the quality of insurance companies'employees and senior executives urgently need to be promoted.Now the insurance industry stands on a new historical starting point; therefore the construction of an insurance talent team adaptable to the development needs in the new situation has a deterministic meaning in achieving the strategic objective of running the insurance industry bigger and stronger by seizing the rare historical development opportunity. This article on the status of the insurance industry practitioners, analysis and evaluation of the problems that arise from the historical background, personnel management system and operational mechanism, the excavation in depth. At the same time, the developed countries and regions insurance personnel successful models, made the insurance industry training mode and system.
