The technique of bar code is used broadly in all kinds of fields around the world. The Continuous Ink Jet (CIJ) is a kind of machines developed for the using of marking in industrial fields. One of the functions of CIJ is the printing of the bar code. However, the quality of the bar code made by CIJ is not ideal. The reason is that the dimension of bar code is not equipotent.To resolve the quality problems of the bar code,Taguchi Experiment Methods are applied in the study. The Code128 is chosen as the object of the experiment. The techniques of Causal Analysis and Causal Map are used in the process of factors research. When the optimal result of the experiment is found to be a constant the Definite-Purposed-Character-Technology of Taguchi Methods is selected as the technique for the experiment. Orthogonal tables are used to arrange the factors for the experiment. Analysis of Variance is used in the data processing after the experiment. The factors with most important affection to the quality of bar code are found out through the experiments.The quality of bar code is improved by using the CIJ with the optimized parameters. The quality level of the bar is improved by one to two grades. The paper also proved the correctness of the result in the academic and testing ways. This thesis gives not only a way on how to improve the quality of the bar code made by CIJ but also an example on how to use the technoque of Design Of Experiment to analysis the problems in our work.
