College Library Digital Resource Integration And Practice

At present, the digital resources in the university library has become the main body of the information resources. As digital resources of growing, information island has been formed in university libraries,which leads to the difficult obtaintion and sharing of the digital resources. Information island also causes the disorder of the digital resource, difficult storage and so on. So university libraries need to organize their digital resources reasonablly and optimize the use of digital resources environment. That can make university library has a majority position in the increasing Internet, at the same time can also make readers obtain the accurate, efficient and correct information.This article starts from the background of universities library digital resource integration and significance of the research. It generally introduces the present situation of digital resource integration at Home and abroad. Then this paper introduces some technical standard of digital resource integration, and it introduces the metadata standards, XML technology, OpenURL and Mashup in detail.The article mainly introduced the work of Harbin medical university library in digital resource integration in the third part. Basically has the following three items:Metadata harvest based on digital resources interoperability protocol, Search engine based on the resource integration and the application of resource integration under the principle of Mashup. The three work were attempted in metadata level, content level, the Integration of external resources and services level.The article mainly introduced the realization of the integration system in the fourth part. Mainly includes:the realization of the unified retrieval platform, the realization of the Open WEB, the practice of Mashup. At last test the system.This paper carries on the summary of the practice that was carried on Harbin medical university library's digital resource integration in finally. In order to offer some other related work experience for reference.This paper also have pointed out the disadvantage of the existing integration, which is the next step work direction.
