In the porous silicon luminescence field, luminescence intensity was still low and luminescence instability. The aim of this article was to prepare porous silicon which had highly luminescence intensity and luminescence stability. This article selected electrochemistry method to prepare porous silicon and researched the influence of preparation conditions on the photoluminescence of porous silicon materials. We could choose the appropriate preparation parameter to enhance the luminous intensity of porous silicon. Under this experimental condition, when the solution V(HF):V(C2H5OH) was1:1, we obtained that the best corrosion time was20min and the best current density was50mA/cm2. When the prepared porous silicon put in the air, it could have the slow effect with the periphery air. Its photoluminescence intensity was lower and lower. In order to solve this problem, we used two different post-processing methods to make the photoluminescence of porous silicon be stable. There are cathode reduction treatment and acid treatment. The experiment indicated that:after cathode reduction treatment, in the certain processing time range, not only the luminescence intensity of porous silicon could be enhanced, but also the illumination stability could be improved, and the surface uniformity of the porous silicon was better; in the certain density range, acid treatment can highly increase the luminescence intensity, but the illumination stability of porous silicon after acid treatment was not good, and the surface uniformity of the porous silicon was not good too. Consider about the surface uniformity,luminescence intensity and luminescence stability of porous silicon, this article thought that cathode reduction treatment was better.Knowing the illumination mechanism of porous silicon was important to the development of porous silicon practical application. But nowadays, nobody knew the truly illumination mechanism of porous silicon materials. The porous silicon illumination mechanism was in dispute.According to the experiment phenomenon and data analysis, this article discussed the illumination mechanism of porous silicon. This article thought that the quantum restriction effect was true;the surface condition was also played a very important role in the illumination of porous silicon. This article also introduced the electroluminescent,electroluminescent mechanism and its application of porous silicon materials.
