With the continuous development of chemical industry, people have put forward higher request to the test sample quantity, business management level and data analysis ability of chemical laboratory, the traditional manual management mode is difficult to adapt to this situation. Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) can provide the standard management of laboratory business and efficient analysis of experimental data, the chemical laboratory can be managed reasonably by LIMS. However, the defect of traditional LIMS is that it cannot guide the chemical production effectively according to the experimental data.By studying the existing LIMS technology, combined with the business characteristics of chemical laboratory, this thesis proposed LIMS for chemical production to solve the problem above. The core of the system is the business process management, the system can assist analysts to find the best production conditions by optimal experiment design scheme, it also can give an analysis of the experimental data according to data comprehensive analysis strategy, finally, the production field can be effectively guided by the results of analysis.In this thesis, the overall structure of the system is designed by using the idea of hierarchy. The main research results are as follows:(1) Through the data management layer to manage the underlying data of the system. The core content includes the design of LIMS data modeling and data storage scheme.(2) Through the business treatment layer to complete business process management of the laboratory. The core content includes the design of the business treatment framework and the business process management scheme.(3) Through the application analysis layer to complete the analysis of the experimental data, and guide the production field with the results of analysis. The core content includes the design of the optimal experiment design scheme and data comprehensive analysis strategy.The function and performance of the system are tested in detail by building a test environment and the effectiveness of the system is verified by the situation of field usage. The result shows that the system can manage the business process of chemical laboratory standardly and analyze the experimental data efficiently, with the result of analysis, the system can guide the production field effectively and improve the production efficiency of chemical products. Therefore, the system has important research significance and practical value.
