With the rapid development of science and technology, modernized national defense is developing in every country of the world, and high-tech is constantly applied in the military. The garage is an important facility, its security and technology in management plays a very prominent position. At present, artificial management way is used in many places within armed forces. In some advanced places, closed-circuit television and infrared alarm are used to assist in the management. However, the garages in military have some characteristics such as a large number of vehicles, frequent in and out, heavy security tasks, management with less personnel and big workload. So it is increasingly important to exploit an automation system used for military vehicles management, and it can improve the management level of informationization and regularization garage, meeting the requirements of the vehicle quickly dispatched and vehicles to manage security and increase combat effectiveness.By analyzing the domestic and overseas progress of RFID technology in the vehicle management and discovering the limitation and shortcomings of the existing vehicle management system in forces special environment, this paper designed a set of military garage management system based on the RFID technology.The article focuses on these three aspects:Firstly, we compared the high frequency active RFID technology and UHF passive RFID technology in distance recognition. Then we brought up the design scheme of a UHF RFID reader and designed a UHF passive RFID reader-writer with moderate cost and farther recognition distance. The hardware design and program are listed in this paper; Secondly, we study on the basic theory of security and privacy in RFID system, in order to make our system meet the safety requirement strictly in military environment. By analyzing loopholes in communication protocol, we figure out that embedded LCAP protocol into the software of reader-writer could help to improve safe performance. And then our RFID system would meet the demand of military use; Thirdly, VB6.0+SQL data base is used to design and develop Pc Software in the C/S frame.The design of military garage management system got the function of online Vehicle registration, automatic management and automatic vehicle information collection. The complete informatization manage methord could highly improve the convenience, speed and timeliness. This superiority will enhance the standard of vehicle information management, promote the degree of forces logistics informatization and improve the level of combat capabilities.
